Welcome to OCAT, The Online CalWORKs Appraisal Tool
WHAT IS OCAT? OCAT is a Web-based tool that consists of a detailed comprehensive appraisal of the strengths, barriers, and overall work readiness of CalWORKs participants. Based on the comprehensive appraisal, a summary of strengths and barriers is generated along with editable work activity and work support recommendations.
UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO ANY STATE OF CALIFORNIA COMPUTING SYSTEM IS A CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF PENAL CODE SECTION 502 AND/OR APPLICABLE FEDERAL LAW AND IS SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION. Accessing any system while exceeding one’s authorization or in ways not intended by the State of California shall be subject to disciplinary action, prosecution or both. Users shall have no expectation of privacy in the use of these computing systems as all actions may be recorded and monitored.
This website is the standardized appraisal tool described in Welfare and Institutions Code Section 11325.2(b). The information provided using this website is intended for use by case managers, supervisors, and other county personnel. As with all automated and data conversion technologies, the output of the website and appraisal tool (collectively, the “Website”) may include errors or omissions. Please review and confirm the accuracy of all appraisal recommendations. Keep in mind that the recommendations of the appraisal tool must be independently evaluated by county case management staff in determining appropriate activities and services for clients.
